If you have a sweet tooth, we have an irresistible offer for you - a mini hazelnut tart! We have carefully selected only high-quality products that will truly delight your palate.

Did you know that tart is a famous French dessert? The recipe for the first tart comes from the French Tatin family, who owned a family hotel. For the hotel guests, they prepared a homemade apple dessert following an old family recipe. The sweet temptation later took the surname of the Tatin family and today is known worldwide as "Tatin Tart".

It was so delicious that hotel guests sometimes returned again and again just for it. The aroma of apple pastry can be smelled on streets all over the world to this day.

There are different types of tarts; some have fillings of apples, pears, peaches, apricots, pumpkin, and sometimes no fruit at all, but rather cream. Smaller desserts, bite-sized but in the same shape, are called tartlets. You can check out our recipe for "Tartlets with delicious chocolate cream".

Today we have prepared a mini hazelnut tart with a hazelnut-coconut filling that will stay in your mind from the first bite. Let's start preparing the recipe:

Ingredients for the crust of the mini hazelnut tart:

  • 100g hazelnut flour
  • 65g flaxseed flour
  • 40g coconut oil
  • 30g coconut nectar

Ingredients for the cream of the mini hazelnut tart:

  • 100g Bettr hazelnut tahini
  • 20g coconut oil
  • 50g milk chocolate drops
  • 20g coconut sugar

To begin, it is good to melt the Dragon Superfoods chocolate drops with coconut oil in a bain-marie. The drops are made from high-quality Peruvian cocoa, which has a special Fairtrade certificate. In simple terms, this certificate is a "bridge" between traders, farmers, and workers in cocoa farms, ensuring transparency in their work and the sustainable development of the cocoa business.

The Fairtrade certificate guarantees good living and working conditions for all workers harvesting the raw material. It ensures the quality of products and significantly increases the productivity and income of farmers while guaranteeing reduced environmental damage.

We continue with the recipe by adding all the ingredients for the crust mentioned above into a blender. We start with hazelnut flour, then flaxseed flour, coconut nectar, and coconut oil.

Dragon Superfoods Coconut Oil is a product obtained from the fruit (flesh) of the coconut. The process involves grating and drying the coconut flesh, which is then carefully pressed at a low temperature and filtered. The extracted coconut oil retains all its beneficial qualities, making it a preferred choice in cooking and beyond. It has a light, subtle, and delicate coconut aroma. If someone in our family doesn't like the aroma of coconut, we can also use unscented coconut oil to ensure everyone at home is happy.

Dragon Superfoods Coconut Nectar, on the other hand, is made from the sap of coconut palm blossoms, extracted entirely by hand by farmers in small cooperatives in Indonesia. It has a light caramel taste and is a suitable sweetener for all kinds of desserts.

Mix all ingredients and shape the crust in a suitable tart pan with the typical tart form so that we can later add the prepared hazelnut-coconut cream to our dessert. Once done, spread it in a suitable tart dish and bake the crust at 190 degrees Celsius for about 20 minutes.

Once the crust is ready and cooling, it's time to prepare the filling for our tart.

The cream is quite simple yet incredibly delicious. The main and most important ingredient is Bettr hazelnut tahini, which is made entirely from perfectly ground roasted hazelnuts from organic farming.

It will contribute to the fine texture of our cream. Add the coconut oil, the chocolate drops melted in a bain-marie, and the coconut sugar. Stir well until you get a homogeneous mixture. Then, spread the cream evenly over all parts of our tart and finally place the dessert in the freezer for about 40 minutes until it sets well. When it's ready, you can sprinkle it with freshly roasted hazelnuts for an even more finished look.

This dessert is stored in the refrigerator, but we are sure it won't stay there for more than a day because it is sooo delicious. Thank you for cooking with Zelen!
