Without paraphenylenediamine (PPD)

This is perhaps one of the most dangerous ingredients used in cosmetics, also known as coal tar dye. It appears under several names: PPDA, phenylenediamine base, p-phenylenediamine, 4-phenylenediamine, 1,4-phenylenediamine, 4-benzenediamine, 1,4-benzenediamine, al-diaminobenzene, al-aminoaniline, OrsinTM, RodolTM, UrsolTM, etc.

The role of PPD is to enhance the color and extend its life on the hair for a longer time. It is contained in 80% of all dye brands, especially in dyes that color in dark tones (black, brown, red). PPD is a strong allergen and upon contact with the skin can cause severe allergic reactions on the scalp, face, neck, and hands. It is toxic to the immune system, nervous system, lungs, kidneys, and liver.

Without persulfates - common components in hair dye. In concentrations above 17%, they can cause asthma, lung damage, as well as allergic skin reactions.

Without parabens - synthetic preservatives used to increase the shelf life of cosmetics. Upon contact with the body, they can cause allergic contact dermatitis and skin irritation. The accumulation of parabens in the body can affect hormonal balance and increase the risk of breast cancer and ovarian cancer. Since it can increase estrogen levels, which leads to embryo damage, pregnant women should avoid using products containing parabens.

Without resorcinol - a chemical substance that disrupts the endocrine system, causes skin irritation, hypothyroidism, and disruption of hormone production in the body. It is especially dangerous for pregnant women, as it can cause miscarriage.

Without ammonia - the component in dyes that opens the hair cuticle for the dye to penetrate deeply. It has been found to cause eye and respiratory irritation. Daily exposure to it can also lead to mental disorders. Ammonia can cause burns and allergic reactions. The maximum permissible amount in hair dyes by law should not exceed 6%.

Without 4-ABP - a byproduct often found in hair dyes. It increases the risk of carcinogenic diseases.

HOW TO DYE WITH Elcéa?

BEFORE DYEING:
1. Put on gloves and a towel over your shoulders to protect yourself from staining.
2. To open the colorant tube, unscrew the cap and pierce the tube with the sharp back end. Transfer its contents to the developer bottle to mix.
3. Close bottle "B" with the mixture and shake well.
4. Break off the tip of the upper part and start dyeing. The resulting mixture is used immediately and once. If there is any leftover - discard it, it should not be used next time!

START DYEING:
Choose between 2 dyeing methods, depending on your case:
/the dye is applied to dry, unwashed hair/

For undyed, natural hair:
The dye is applied evenly over the entire hair.
. Start dyeing from the roots strand by strand, using the sharp tip of the bottle, and then distribute the remaining dye over the entire hair.
. Gently massage the hair for better distribution of the mixture.
. Leave for 30 minutes.
Put a little lukewarm water in your hand and gently massage the hair for 2-3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with shampoo until the water runs clear and towel dry. Apply conditioner to the ends of the hair, gently massage, leave for 5 minutes and wash the hair again with lukewarm water.

For dyed hair:
The dye is applied only to the roots
. Start dyeing only the roots with one part of the mixture, using the sharp tip of the bottle
. Leave for 20 minutes.
. Distribute the remainder of the mixture over the entire hair, gently massage for even distribution of the dye
. Leave for 10 minutes.
Put a little lukewarm water in your hand and gently massage the hair for 2-3 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with shampoo until the water runs clear and towel dry. Apply conditioner to the ends of the hair, gently massage, leave for 5 minutes and wash the hair again with lukewarm water.

Store at room temperature 10-25 C in a dark place

Allergy test!
Perform the test 48 hours before dyeing, even if you have already used this product!
In case of a reaction or if you have any doubts, consult a doctor before dyeing your hair.
Before the test, put on disposable gloves. Avoid contact with eyes, if product gets in them, rinse immediately. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before rinsing. Do not use on eyelashes and eyebrows, if your hair has been dyed with henna, metallic salts, progressive color or a repigmentation product.
Prepare a small amount of mixture of 1 part colorant and 2 parts developer. Clean a part of the skin behind the ear or on the inside of the elbow crease with cotton wool soaked in 70gr alcohol. Apply a little of the mixture, leave for 30 minutes. and wipe. If after 48 hours you notice redness or feel itching at the site, do not use the product
