In addition to its taste qualities, basil is also known for its beneficial properties – it acts as an anti-inflammatory, aids digestion, and strengthens the immune system. It is rich in essential oils, antioxidants, and vitamins such as A, C, and K.
Recommended use: Traditionally added to pasta, pizza, salads, and one of the most famous sauces – pesto – is made from fresh basil leaves. Add at the end of or after heat treatment.
