The hair dye kit contains a 1:2 mixture:

Paraphenylenediamine (PPD) free

This is perhaps one of the most dangerous ingredients used in cosmetics, also known as coal tar dye. It goes by several names: PPDA, phenylenediamine base, p-phenylenediamine, 4-phenylenediamine, 1,4-phenylenediamine, 4-benzenediamine, 1,4-benzenediamine, al-diaminobenzene, al-aminoaniline, OrsinTM, RodolTM, UrsolTM, etc.

The role of PPD is to enhance the color and extend its life on the hair for a longer time. It is contained in 80% of all dye brands, especially in dyes that color in dark tones (black, brown, red). PPD is a strong allergen and upon contact with the skin, it can cause severe allergic reactions on the scalp, face, neck, and hands. It is toxic to the immune system, nervous system, lungs, kidneys, and liver.

Persulfate-free - common components in hair dye. In concentrations above 17%, they can cause asthma, lung damage, and allergic skin reactions.

Paraben-free - synthetic preservatives used to extend shelf life in cosmetics. Upon contact with the body, they can cause allergic contact dermatitis and skin irritation. The accumulation of parabens in the body can affect hormonal balance and increase the risk of breast and ovarian cancer. Since it can increase estrogen levels, leading to embryonic damage, pregnant women should avoid using paraben-containing products.

Resorcinol-free - a chemical that disrupts the endocrine system, causing skin irritation, hypothyroidism, and impaired hormone production in the body. It is particularly dangerous for pregnant women, as it can cause spontaneous abortion.

Ammonia-free - the component in dyes that opens the hair cuticle for the dye to penetrate deeply. It has been found to cause eye and respiratory irritation. Daily exposure can also lead to psychological disorders. Ammonia can cause burns and allergic reactions. The maximum permissible amount in hair dyes by law should not exceed 6%.

4-ABP free - a byproduct often found in hair dyes. It increases the risk of carcinogenic diseases.

HOW TO DYE WITH Elcéa?

BEFORE DYEING:
1. Put on gloves and a towel on your shoulders to protect yourself from stains.
2. To open the dye tube, unscrew the cap and pierce the tube with the sharp back end. Transfer its contents into the activator bottle to mix.
3. Close bottle "B" with the mixture and shake well.
4. Break off the tip of the top part and start dyeing. The resulting mixture should be used immediately and only once. If there is any leftover, discard it; it should not be used next time!

START DYEING:
Choose between 2 dyeing methods, depending on your case:
/the dye is applied to dry, unwashed hair/

For uncolored, natural hair:
The dye is applied evenly throughout the hair.
. Start dyeing from the roots, strand by strand, using the pointed tip of the bottle, and then distribute the remaining dye throughout the entire hair.
. Gently massage the hair for better distribution of the mixture.
. Leave it on for 30 minutes.
Pour a little lukewarm water into your hand and gently massage the hair for 2-3 minutes. Rinse it thoroughly with shampoo until the water runs clear and towel dry.

For dyed hair:
The dye is applied only to the roots.
. Start dyeing only the roots with a portion of the mixture, using the pointed tip of the bottle.
. Leave it on for 20 minutes.
. Distribute the remainder of the mixture over the entire hair, gently massage for even distribution of the dye.
. Leave it on for 10 minutes.
Pour a little lukewarm water into your hand and gently massage the hair for 2-3 minutes. Rinse it thoroughly with shampoo until the water runs clear and towel dry.

The product is not recommended for persons under 16 years of age.
Rinse hair thoroughly after dyeing!
Do not reuse any leftover dye.

Helpful tips:

• If you have long hair, we recommend using 2 boxes of Elcéa Coloration Experte.
• After one dyeing, we recommend waiting at least 15 days before the next to achieve an even hair color.
• To remove dye from the skin, use cotton wool soaked in water, soap, and 90° alcohol.
• To maintain the shine of your color, use Elcéa shampoo.

SAFETY WARNINGS:
Temporary "black henna" tattoos can increase the risk of allergy!
Do not dye your hair if: you have a rash on your face or a sensitive, irritated, and damaged scalp, if you have ever had a reaction after dyeing your hair, if you have previously had a reaction to a temporary "black henna" tattoo.
The product is not recommended for use by young people under 16.
Rinse hair thoroughly after dyeing!
Do not reuse any leftover dye!
Keep out of reach of small children!

Store at room temperature 10-25 C in a dark place.

Allergy test!
Perform the test 48 hours before dyeing, even if you have already used this product!
In case of a reaction or if you have any doubts, consult a doctor before dyeing your hair.
Before the test, put on disposable gloves. Avoid contact with eyes; if the product gets into them, rinse immediately. If you wear contact lenses, remove them before rinsing. Do not use on eyelashes and eyebrows, if your hair has been dyed with henna, metallic salts, progressive color, or a repigmentation product.
Prepare a small amount of mixture of 1 part dye and 2 parts activator. Clean a patch of skin behind the ear or on the inside of the elbow bend with cotton wool soaked in 70% alcohol. Apply a small amount of the mixture, leave it on for 30 minutes, and wipe off. If after 48 hours you notice redness or itching in the area, do not use the product.
