The vitamin folic acid belongs to the vitamin B group. It is especially found in green vegetables, wheat germ and liver. Folic acid is unstable in liquid and is also sensitive to heat and UV light. The vitamin is rapidly lost during normal food preparation.
An adequate supply of folic acid is particularly important for women of childbearing age. The German Nutrition Society (DGE) recommends that women who wish to have children take an additional 400 μg of folic acid daily. For the body, folic acid is fundamental for normal cell division. Folic acid contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy.

Ingredients: coconut oil, cold-pressed olive oil, humectant glycerin, glazing agent hydroxypropyl starch, sunflower oil, glazing agent carrageenan, coloring iron oxides and hydroxides, pteroylmonoglutamic acid (folic acid)

Recommended use: 1 capsule once daily; before and during the first three months of pregnancy, 2 capsules daily.

* For women in general: daily 200 μg folic acid ⩠ 400 μg folic acid equivalent (= 1 Floradix Folic Acid capsule)

* If planning children and during the first trimester of pregnancy: daily 400 μg folic acid ⩠ 800 μg folic acid equivalent (= 2 Floradix Folic Acid capsules)

Important: A healthy lifestyle is always important! Do not exceed the recommended daily intake! The product may have a laxative effect if consumed in excess. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced and varied diet.
